Leukemoid reaction

Definition:
A systemic (whole body) reaction resembling leukemia, but that is actually due to other conditions such as infections or other disease processes. As with leukemia, a person having a leukemoid reaction also shows a disorganized proliferation of immature white blood cells in the blood and bone marrow.
